Real-time benefit checks show the patient's estimated out-of-pocket cost at their pharmacy and at mail order, plus lower-cost covered alternatives, when their plan returns benefit data. If a medication needs prior authorization, prescribers know before they send it.

Pharmacy benefit authorizations move through a dedicated worklist where staff upload documents, answer payer questions, and track each request. Medical benefit authorizations, like those for psychological testing, are tracked in the same platform.

Supervised and collaborative prescribing

Many states require supervision of, or collaboration with, a physician for prescriptions written by nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and prescribing psychologists. Administrators can assign a supervising provider to each of these prescribers, and prescribers confirm the supervisor right on the prescription before it's sent.

When supervision assignments change, as they do when practices grow or providers move between locations, historical prescriptions still show the supervisor of record.
