General Questions

What is ProsperityEHR?

ProsperityEHR is a purpose-built electronic health record (EHR) platform designed to meet the unique and complex needs of behavioral health providers. It integrates tools like scheduling, telehealth, clinical documentatione-prescribing, billing, and revenue cycle management into one intuitive system to help practices optimize their performance and profitability.

Who is ProsperityEHR for?

ProsperityEHR is for mental and behavioral health practices with big ambitions to do good and do well. We primarily work with practices that are focused on growth, which we know might look different for each one. “Growth” could mean hiring more providers, seeing more patients, expansion into additional locations, adding services lines, or all the above. Because ProsperityEHR uses flexible, rules-based configurations, it’s truly designed to grow with your practice and support your operational goals—both clinically and financially.

What specialties does ProsperityEHR support?

ProsperityEHR is built for outpatient behavioral health practices that offer multiple treatment modalities and specialized services. Our platform is particularly well-suited for practices integrating psychiatry, medication management, and advanced interventional treatments alongside traditional therapy services.

We work with practices offering:

  • Psychiatry and psychiatric services from diagnostic assessments to ongoing medication management
  • Interventional psychiatry modalities including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and ketamine-assisted therapy
  • Comprehensive outpatient therapy coordinated across multidisciplinary care teams
  • Integrated care delivery including hybrid, virtual, and community-based operations

Our system is designed to handle the complexity of practices managing prescribing providers, specialized equipment and protocols, varied levels of care, and coordinated treatment teams. If your practice offers a robust menu of psychiatric and therapeutic services with multiple providers, ProsperityEHR can streamline your operations and support your growth.

What makes ProsperityEHR different from other EHR systems?

Unlike general medical EHR systems that add behavioral health as an afterthought, ProsperityEHR is built from the ground up specifically for behavioral health practices. This means our workflows, documentation templates, billing codes, and compliance features are designed around how your practice actually operates, not adapted from primary care or hospital systems. You won't waste time navigating irrelevant features or wrestling with workflows that don't fit your clinical model.

Our platform combines time-tested reliability with the flexibility to adapt to your unique needs. Whether your providers prefer different documentation styles, your billing team has specific processes, or your clinical programs require customized protocols, ProsperityEHR adapts to how you work.

What truly sets us apart is our embedded clearinghouse integrated directly into our RCM solution. This catches and automatically corrects  errors before claims go out, dramatically reducing denials, accelerating payments, and improving your cash flow. Combined with real-time analytics and AI-powered insights, you gain complete visibility into your practice's financial performance, enabling you to make informed decisions about growth and operations.

  • 10 fewer days in accounts receivable
  • +2% increase in net collections rate
  • Less than 4% claim denial rate
  • 25% increase in net revenue

These results directly impact your practice's financial health and ability to scale.

This efficiency, combined with our embedded clearinghouse that reduces denials and accelerates payments, creates the financial foundation you need to scale. Whether you're adding providers, increasing patient volume, opening new locations, or launching new service linesProsperityEHR adapts to support your growth goals.

Is it easy to switch from another EHR to ProsperityEHR?

Switching EHR systems is a significant decision, but with the right guidance and support, it doesn't have to be disruptive. At ProsperityEHRwe've designed our implementation process specifically to minimize disruption to your patient care and daily operations. We provide hands-on project management, careful data migration with full transparency about what transfers and how, role-specific training tailored to your team size, and intensive support during your first weeks of system use. We work with your schedule and capacity, not against it. Many practices find that a well-managed transition is actually less disruptive than continuing with a system that creates daily frustrations.

What does my practice need for a successful EHR transition?

A successful transition requires clear preparation, strong communication, and the right support structure. Key elements include: understanding your current operational challenges and goals, identifying internal champions who can support their colleagues through change, planning for data migration and workflow adjustments, ensuring adequate training time for all roles, maintaining focus on patient care continuity, and having realistic timelines that account for your practice's capacity. We've outlined the complete preparation process in our EHR go-live guide, which explains what to expect.

How long does it take to go live with ProsperityEHR?

Implementation timelines vary based on your practice's specific situation. Factors that influence timing include your current contract obligations, the complexity of your service lines and business model, the number of locations and providers, your existing data migration requirements, and whether you're working toward a specific deadline (such as a forced vendor transition). During your Foundation Assessment, we'll discuss your unique circumstances and develop a realistic timeline that balances thoroughness with your scheduling needs. As an example, a 40 provider practice offering talk therapy and medication management services could expect an implementation to take approximately 12-16 weeks.

How can my practice get support if we need it?

We don't disappear after go-live—we're committed to your long-term success. You'll receive intensive support during your first weeks after go-live when questions naturally come up, followed by ongoing access to our support team as you optimize and grow. We'll also proactively seek your feedback along the way so we can continue improving the platform to meet your evolving needs. Your continued success is our success, and our support structure reflects that partnership approach.
